from Rob: so i told some of you about the “artwork” i took in a couple of months ago that i considered the new aesthetic low encountered in my framing career, a belief confirmed when my boss David called me to say that this piece was pretty much the ugliest thing ever seen at Stanhope. It’s just a sad stated state of affairs.
A tragic combination of a horrifying closeup, incompetent rendering (lips like slugs???? ewwwww….), shiny-shiny shininess, and mysterious semen-like drippings all over it that may have been intended to look like raindrops but who knows, really all coalesce into a work of elegant beauty. Naturally, nothing but the shiniest silver frame (white gold leaf, no less! $$$$$$$$) would do.
Please stare agape at the horror in all it’s shiny drippyness!
